a friend’s cancer returned, a bird flew into the apartment, and my thighs are chafed.
i drove her FAST in my car with the stereo turned LOUD while she screamed her frustration, anger, and fear. the cat caught and ate the bird. cocoa butter soothes the skin.
whatever the challenge, help is available.
ask for help. i remind myself to ask for help. also, ask for hugs. hugs help.
try listening. i mean, really listening. listen for the spaces between the words. listen to the pauses. listen to the silence. listen lighter and deeper and stronger and closer. listening helps.
drink more water. water helps. and while you’re at it, eat more fiber. fiber helps. 😀
take a deep breath. breathing helps.
stretch. stretching feels goooooooooooooood.
take a nap. even if the “nap” is merely closing your eyes and relaxing for ten minutes, do it. more rest helps.
help is available.
you are not alone. even if you are screaming into the silence in the middle of the night while driving too damn fast without a passenger in the car, you are not alone. help is available. ask for help.
offer help. helping others helps you, too.
