confessions on my way out

confession: i move to a new apartment in six days. i have surgery to remove a kidney in nine days. i’m getting rid of stuff that i don’t need and isn’t helping me.

confession: i took a hammer to a large hunk of furniture, pounding it into smaller pieces to carry to the dumpster. sometimes destruction really satisfies.

confession: wizard’s hair is beginning to turn an enchanting silver. as my boy best friend says, wizard is disturbingly pretty.

confession: i hate missing someone around whom i usually felt miserable.

confession: in order to clear the fridge and pantry before we move, the menu at our home requires increasing creativity at mealtimes.

confession: i have way too many shoes.

confession: i watched the entire second season of “homeland” this week. carrie mathison appeared in my dreams each night.

confession: at 10:40 pm on saturday night, i’ve decided to pour a flask and go downtown because i’m restless and don’t want to feel whatever sits beneath the restlessness.
